Angraecum erectum is a small sized epiphyte orchid. It blooms from spring til autumn the inflorescence arising from the nodes along the stem with fragrant flowers. The upside down lip gives this orchid a unique feature.

Angraecum erectum is native to Tansania, Uganda, Zambia and in Kenya. They grow near river banks in the forests on rocks and trees at an altitude of 1300-2300m above sea level.

Angraecum erectum loves bright sunlight an is able to tolerate direct morning and evening sun. Protect from the hot summer midday sun.

Best to grow them mounted on blocks or on cork wood.

Humidity ideally should be around 70-80%.

Water them regularly during the warmer months while the temperature is higher. As the temperature drops cut back on watering, but never let your plant to be dry for a long period of time.

Fertilize them regularly with a fertilizer that has equal parts of N, P, K (8, 8, 8).
