This medium is made from the bark of the so-called maritim pines - one of the hardest and most durable. Steam heat treated medium which can be used in addition to Cattleya species for Paphiopedilum, Phalaenopsis and other orchid cultures. It can also be used cleanly, but it has worked well for many orchids by mixing sphagnum moss, fine-grained charcoal and coconut fiber.
