This type of botanical orchid has similar features as a tillandsia. The only difference is that this orchid has a very fine leaf. The white tiny flowers develop on a very fine flower stem during spring and summer. It is a must have if you like botanical orchids!
A Phymatidium tillandsioides is native to Brazil. It grows in a shade where the humidity is constantly very high. If you are able to match its requirement you will have lots of pleasure growing it! This orchid dose not have a resting period therefor it requires orchid fertiliser during the whole year.
It grows quickly into clump that can be divided into smaller bunches and tied on to corkwood blocks.
